My wife and I recently dined at the Casanova Restaurant during the Le Concours auto event this past week and happened to see your request for guests to share their romantic experiences at the Casanova. We thought we would share the following story:
My wife, Valerie, and I have dined at the Casanova Restaurant many times over the past three decades. But our most memorable evening was spent at a corner table in the dining room near the entrance, on a beautiful Saturday evening during August 1997. We had just been seated and were alone in the dining room, when much to our surprise we saw singer/song writer John Denver walk through the door. John was alone and appeared to be waiting at the entrance. We are long time John Denver fans, so we decided to say hello. John was very gracious. We spoke about his Hollywood Bowl concert, which we had attended the prior month. He commented about how much he enjoyed singing with the large orchestra. Both John and I are pilots and we briefly discussed our mutual aviation interest. With that, we bid John farewell and he continued on to one of the rear dining rooms. After a very enjoyable meal, we left the restaurant and saw John’s Porsche, with its Colorado license plates, parked next to the front door. Seeing our favorite male vocalist at our favorite romantic restaurant added to the magic of the evening. We thought back on our wonderful encounter with John Denver at the Casanova Restaurant, when only two months later we and the rest of the world received the sad news that John had died tragically while piloting his sports plane over Monterey Bay – Sunday, Oct. 12, 1997. We have returned to the Casanova Restaurant many times since our brief visit with John Denver. We will always remember this magical evening from many years ago.

Dear Linda,
This letter is to express our deepest gratitude for almost single-handedly making our reception perfect!
From the first moment we met you, you have been unbelievably sweet, patient, charming and accommodating. You went well above and beyond what we expect and because of that, our wedding day was flawless. Even after our wedding, you continued to be simply delightful. We were really blown away by you, Linda.
Now we are demanding that all of our friends have either their reception or rehearsal dinners at Casanova Restaurant "for three reasons: the ambiance, the food and Linda." No kidding!
We actually had two other locations in mind for our reception that were quite a bit more convenient location-wise -- and we likely would have opted for one of those places had it not been for you. When Alexandra and I were making the final decision on where to have the reception, we decided on Casanova Restaurant because you were so incredibly helpful and nice. Casanova Restaurant is lucky to have you.

Dear Phillipe,
I wanted to take a moment to thank you for the terrific job you and your staff did last Monday. The room itself was perfect for a group of our size and beautifully laid out, our clients raved afterwards about both the food and the wine, and I thought the service was superb - very efficient without disrupting the brief dinner presentation. You were also most kind to send along the posters and biscotti, which our entire office in New York enjoyed.
As I told you when we arrived, Casanova may be my favorite restaurant anywhere in the world, and our recent experience did nothing to change my mind on that topic. I look forward to seeing you again on my next visit.
